 Pandavlena Caves-(8 km)

On Bombay-Agra road, about 2.5 kms. from the Taj Residency are the famous Pandavlena caves. Not very far off from city, it is still a very peaceful place and gives a very beautiful panoramic view of the city. The place attracts tourists, archaeologists, trekkersand artists.
The other outstanding attraction is the "Dada Saheb Phalke Smarak", dedicated to one of the most cherished son of Nasik who gave India its first feature film "Raja Harish Chandra". The museum exhibits his artwork, a beautifully decorated garden, and a "Buddha Stupa".

 Nandur Madhameshwar- (62 Kms) (Bird Sanctuary)
One of the sacred places for Jain Religion is Teerthraj Gajpantha , which is at Mhasrul, 16 kms from Nashik Road Railway station and 8 kms from Nashik City. The famous CHAMBER CAVES are a part of this place. It is situated on the top of a small hill.
This sanctuary which houses more than 220 species of birds, 400 species of vegetation, 24 species of fish and several smaller mammals came into existence alonq the Nandur Madhameshwar dam at the confluence of Godavari and Kadwa. Spread over the protected area of 1 0000 hectares, lies the core area of 1 765 hectares, where the large variety of water birds,resident and migratory birds congregate in season. It is now counted as one of the important waterfowl habitats in the region by the International Union of Conservation of Nature.
 
 
 Veer Savarkar Smarak Bhagur - (18 Kms)
 Bhandardara - (60 Kms)
Bhagur is the birth place of the freedom fighter, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar and hence it has gained historical importance. There is also a beautiful temple of "Bhagur Devi". Bhagur is situated 3 km away from Deolali Camp
Built in 1926,the Bhandardara dam is one of the oldest dam in Asia & is known for its Umbrella Falls which provides a most picturesque sight for trigger - happy photographs. There is another waterfall known as the Dudhsagar fall which is milky white in colour. It's a popular spot fortourists as well as film shoots.

 The Infant Jesus Church - (10 km)
On the way to Gangapur dam, tourists are fascinated by the beautiful nature spot called "Someshwar". There is a temple of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman on the banks of the river Godavari. The area is covered with greenery all over, with a pleasant climate.
The Infant Jesus Shrine is situated near St. Xavier High School between Nashik and Nashik Road. The idol of Infant Jesus of its kind is only in Yugoslavia after this. In February every year, there is a big fair in which thousands of devotees take part.
